Through peer feedback and targeted exercises, you’ll learn to identify your strengths, fix structural issues, and bring your stories closer to publication. Perfect for writers with a finished draft ready to take a deeper dive into their craft. Max 8 persons

Memoir Writing w/ Brenda Kahn: 6 Weeks

Learn to transform your personal experiences into narratives with universal themes. Through discussions, exercises, and readings, we’ll delve into truth, memory, first-person narration, the balance between showing vs. telling, and finding deeper meaning in your stories.

Writing with Joy w/ Loie Rawding: Sunday, May 18th (single session)

As writers, it can be all too easy to use our grief as fuel and to focus on our trauma as a means of proving our own necessity. But what of our delights? What about the sudden ecstasies that remind us of our humanity and, by extension, our drive to create art in the first place? In this two-hour workshop, we will challenge ourselves to access the wonder of this great, terrible world.

How to Submit Your Writing w/ Loie Rawding: Sunday, May 25th (single session)

Whether querying an agent, submitting to a contest, or applying for a writing residency, this two-hour workshop will provide tips and tricks to get the results you’re looking for. We will discuss the current trends of the publishing industry, look at examples of successful queries, and workshop our own submission materials for immediate and helpful feedback.
